Everything I Need
I am strong, I am brave, I have everything I need.
This is one of my most-common affirmations. One I come back to, almost subconsciously. During solo trips, during morning meditation, in long drives: I am strong, I am brave, I have everything I need.
But recently, when traveling with a group for the first time in a while, I had a realization.
“Everything I need” is not something tangible. It is not an object, being a part of a group, or having a significant other. No, “everything I need” is within me. I am everything that I need.
As a single girl who travels, I feel this minor shift in a major way. I do not need any “things” to help me realize my dreams. I do not need the husband, the house, the six-figure salary.
“Everything I need,” I already possess, within me. It is my strength, my bravery, my courage to chase my dreams. It is my knowledge and trust of my soul self, my wild self, the self who knows she can accomplish anything. “Everything I need” is my heart, my soul, my passions. My yearning for more, for greatness.
I have all of this within me. It is a part of me. It is me.
Therefore, I know that I have all that I need, within me. And this is what helps me to travel solo. To dream big. To live the life of my dreams.
Do you connect with any of this? Are you a solo, traveling girl, who knows deep down that you are everything you need, to be happy, to be successful, wherever you go?
If so, I am so glad you are here. Welcome home.
