Soul-aligned Travel
I’ve always felt kind of weird admitting how much I love to travel.
In groups, I won’t often share my travel experiences — not wanting the attention or not wanting to sound too “different.”
But when given the chance to talk travel with a friend, with someone who loves it — I light up.
I can’t stop asking questions and sharing my own experiences. It’s simply my favorite thing to discuss.
I struggle with wanting to be liked. Wanting to please. Wanting to fit in.
But I’m trying, through this page, my Instagram @speechteachtravel, and behind the scenes, to really OWN my passions. To really OWN that traveling is what makes me, me.
Traveling is what lights me up. It’s what lights my soul on fire. It’s what I’m good at, what I am passionate about, what I love to think about and talk about and plan.
Keeping that hidden to please others, to fit into a box, to fit into a group, to be more easily relatable — that’s only hurting me, hiding my soul self, my true self.
It can only be hidden for so long. Eventually, something is going to break.
Either a breakthrough in your insecurity, or a breakdown of your dreams.
And, through this work of believing in my soul-calling, believing in my soul-self, and sharing this work, I am committing to NOT breakdown my dreams. I am committing to break THROUGH my insecurity. To continue to believe in myself, my soul self, and to share that with others.
To say “adios” to the box that I have always tried to fit inside.
To share my whole, soul-self. My travel-loving, roadtrip taking, hostel-staying, adventure-seeking self with you, with the world.
And hopefully, to inspire others to take that leap. To truly feel their soul-calling, and to go for it.
The truth is — those who really care, will always support you on whatever journey you are on. They’ll love you no matter how “weird” or “out-of-the-box” you are.
They’ll love you because they’ll love seeing you, you.
So, here’s to committing to being our weird, wild, adventure-loving selves. Always!
